A total of 275 vacancies are available for the position of Constable (General Duty). This is a Group “C” post, which is non-gazetted and non-ministerial. BSF Recruitment 2024 Education Qualification :
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
Should have participated in or won medals in International/National sports events between 31st December 2022 and 30th December 2024 in recognized competitions.
BSF Recruitment 2024 Application Fees :
Candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay an application fee of Rs. 147.20 through the online portal.
The fee is exempted for female and SC/ST candidates.
The fee, once paid, is non-refundable under any circumstances.

BSF Constable Selection Process :
The selection process includes documentation and biometric verification, where candidates’ identity, educational certificates, and sports achievements are verified. This is followed by a Physical Standard Test (PST) to assess the candidates’ physical measurements according to BSF guidelines. A medical examination is conducted to ensure the candidates are medically fit for the role. Finally, a merit list is prepared, shortlisting candidates based on their sports achievements as specified in the recruitment notification.
